Q: What information do I need to provide if I make a claim?
A: Provide a detailed description of the incident, including details of any other party involved. You’ll also need to send a copy of the front and back of your driver’s licence as well as the licence of anyone driving the car or responsible for the car at the time of the accident. ERIC may also request additional information and documentation to assist with the processing of your claim.
Q: Am I covered for a hire car?
A: If you have comprehensive cover through us and your car is stolen, ERIC will pay for a hire car. Contact ERIC on 1800 999 977 for further information, or to arrange a hire vehicle.
Q: Who can repair my car?
A: You can choose your repairer as long as they are licensed to carry out the repairs. Before you have any repairs carried out, you need to allow ERIC to inspect any loss or damage and authorise your repairs. If you do not have a preferred repairer in your area, we can help you arrange a quote.
Q: Am I covered for a Windscreen repair or replacement?
A: Yes, as long as you have comprehensive cover with us and you have selected the additional windscreen cover option.
Q: Am I covered for essential emergency repairs?
A: Yes, as long as you have comprehensive cover through us, ERIC will pay up to $300 for essential emergency repairs following an accident to help you reach your destination or a place of safety.
